After taking Jamie to Santa Pola Hospital, we popped into Eroski, to pick up some provisions. It was the first time for me, and probably the last.  I didn't go much on it, to be honest. I thought it would be much cheaper than else where, but my regular price check tells me, Alcampo, in Alicante, is still the best value venue to buy food in the whole area. Oh and by the way, avoid Eroski's own brand coke.  It tastes absolutely foul!

    Hospital!

Had to get Jamie up early today, to take him, with Katie to the Hospital in  Santa Pola.  The only Hospital I have ever been too, is IMED in Elche, which is private, just like a hotel.  This place was very different.   However, Jamie was in and out, having an XRAY within ten minutes.  The service was fantastic; can't fault it at all.

His wrist seems to be much better today; a lot better than what it was. He can move is fingers, although there isn't a lot of movement in his wrist or hand and the bruise on his arm is horrific.

Jamie was given another temporary SIP card at Gran Alacant Health Centre.  His last one ran out in October.  At least this allowed him access to free medical treatment.  I was expecting him to have to use his EHIC Card, but they were good enough to be accommodating, as they usually are in Spain!

Let's hope Jamie learns his lesson; if he ever drinks in the way he has, again, I'll kill him and he will have something to moan about!

It's the first day of December, not long until Christmas!  The  lights are being turned on in  towns and cities in Spain and I managed to buy Jamie an Advent Calendar today. Not cheap, at 6€ from Eroski, especially when I saw something similar in Dialprix for 1€.  Still, it is the season of good will and all that, so I'm taking it on the chin!

Not sure what happened to Jamie, but he has managed to damage his hand and bruise all his arm.  Eventually got him into bed last night, with his hand and arm elevated; cold compress to take away the swelling and a box of paracetamol.

This morning, the swelling had gone down and it was looking much better, although Jamie was still in a lot of pain.

While I went to work, Katie took Jamie to the medical centre in Gran Alacant, just to see if his hand wasn't broken.  He was looked at within half an hour and has an appointment at at the hospital in Santa Pola, tomorrow afternoon. All bearing well, there will be no broken bones!

A few words from Jamie about his experiences, written by him, so ignore the grammar and spelling, plus he was using the only hand he has left!

i went and see the dr, and said i need to get an xray either tonight or tommorow, he said it doesnt look broken but still needs to be xrayed , i thn left without any pain killers or sling.
