Becoming responsible, means having to deal with the cats. Cat litter is not my forte, so I have made sure I have a mask, and a few new accessories!

Just had time today for dinner at 'Dream Corner', after dropping Jamie off at work, down Carabassi, in Gran Alacant. A hot Indian curry in the early evening sun. It just so happens, that for me, it serves the best food in Gran Alacant.
We're not going to be able to do this again in quite a while, so best to make the most of it! Same time, same place, six months time!

Darrell has been up since 6am this morning, packing his case for Australia. Everything is now done. Andy will be taking us to Alicante Airport at 9am and his flight to London City Airport leaves at 11am. After spending the day in London, Darrel will board a new flight, at Heathrow, flying British Airways to Singapore. The last leg of his flight will see him depart the Far East for Sydney, finally flying Qantas, across Australia to Perth.
Tonight we are cooking dinner for Andy and Katie, as a thank you for all their help over the last four months or so, then it's an early night, and an early start tomorrow!

Zest
Two days and counting! There are only a few days left, before Darrell leaves for Australia. Yesterday evening we went to our local and favourite pub, Zest, for drinks with friends and for Darrell to say farewell, to a group of people we can both, proudly call friends. It was a fabulous night, as always from perfect hosts Brett and Lee. I know Darrell will be sad to leave all these people behind! This is a video we took last night, The least rude out of all of them. Yes the word penis comes up, but I think it is totally acceptable in the year 2016. The video is of Chloe and her lovely sister Emily. Two gorgeous friends from Sierra Mar.
By the time we left Zest , Darrell was smashed to say the least and steadily getting worse! We went to La Piedra afterwards for a few drinks, where my dear husband got worse and worse and worse. Now, as it's his last few days, living in Spain I did make allowances, but as a rule I can't stand him when he is drunk, I don't think any partner likes their other half, when they have had too much to drink. In the end, myself and Jamie left Darrell in Andy's capable hands. as I had a feeling I was going to knock him out at any stage!Shopping
I am happy to report, that myself and Jamie did alright for the first time shopping for food in Spain. Actually that isn't strictly true, we have shopped before, but not on our own. We managed to get everything we needed. Jason was driving for now, however next week that is down to Jamie and I don't mind telling you, I think we are in for a bumpy ride!
Trying to wake up Jamie in the morning is an impossibility at times. This is the state I found him in, after he had three glasses of wine last night. At least he was alive.
Had to get him up early, as we both had to go on a shopping trip, to buy our own provisions for a change. To be honest Darrell usually does the weekly shop, but with him leaving, we had to do it ourselves!
Lidl
Mine and Jamie's shopping list, is slightly different to that of Darrell's. We could both survive on just eating Marmite on a permanent basis. Marmite and coke, is top of our things to buy. It cost 68€ at Lidl for a couple of weeks. I have actually become a canny shopper since leaving the UK, able to survive on a fraction of what I used to spend in Britain. I would think nothing of spending 120 pounds a week and used to throw half of what I brought away. If anything, since moving to Spain, I have learned to become a lot more frugal and resourceful, just like the Spanish. I would advise everyone to change their life at one time or another, it is great for the soul and teaches us many things we never knew we could achieve. We haven't done too badly for now!
Just off out to dinner with Darrell, so I am going to call it a day for now and will do some more blogging later on this evening. Hope you all have a good day.
Finally, happy Brighton Pride today, to all my British friends, have a few drinks for me, be thinking of you all!
Peace and Love always! -

Well it's three days until Darrell departs for Australia. Darrell will be flying to London City Airport, then departing Heathrow for the far east, Sydney and finally Perth. It's going to be a long journey. Over the next few days, we have a busy itinerary. Lots of packing to do and things to organise. A few drinks tonight, in our local, Zest, followed by a relaxing day tomorrow and finally dinner with Katie and Andy on Sunday. These two will be there, should I need anything in future. They have been a Godsend at this time and are two fantastic people.
Andy and Darrell have become close friends over the time we have been here. Equally Katie and myself get on like a house on fire. At least they will be around for the duration.
Six months will fly by. I am busy writing, blogging and trying to finish a book, so I have a lot to keep me occupied. During challenging times, it is always good to have great memories, some not so great and a strong belief in the twenty one years we have been together. Being confident in one another and the future, is the best reason to continue moving forwards, apart for a while, but together forever.
