With the awful weather finally at an end for now, it was time to sort the house out. Casa Caprice faces north; the wet and damp weather has caused no end of problems at home. It has been so wet and the house, so damp, that I spent the day bleaching down walls and trying to solve the condensation problem we have at the moment. Of course I am not the only one suffering. These houses were never built for winter occupation, so at this time of year, it can be a real problem, keeping warm and dry.
I finally managed to get some washing done; although having just popped outside, it is raining again and everything is soaked, hey ho. Jamie has stripped and cleaned his room; the bathrooms cleaned and the rugs beaten to within an inch of their lives! lets hope now, we can try and get the house sorted for winter, enjoy Christmas and look forward to Spring!
Had a fantastic afternoon at Big Al's in Masa Square, welcoming home Pete, Dawns husband. 'No Wives Club' + 2; Andy will be home next week, so yet again, it will be me, in Spain on my todd. I don't mind telling you, how much I have been feeling down over the last few days, so it is always great to meet these guys for a drink. They always lift my spirits.
What wonderful hosts Alison and Billy are, looking after Lexi, nothing was too much. It was nice to sit down, have a chat, see Pete again after his month away and just enjoy a few hours away from the drudgery of life.
