I've had a lovely, relaxing day today at home, catching up on housework and watching films on Netflix.
Lily hasn't been too well, acting very strangely; nevertheless she sat outside with me, on the balcony, watching the sun go down. It was a wonderful sunset this evening and I never get tired of watching them.
At the moment I am watching my favourite sci-fi film, Artificial Intelligence. It's one of those films, that gives me hope for the future; rather like Star Trek does, I have no idea why!
I have just downloaded all of the 'Carry On' films and will watch one, before I go to bed. I love them. They represent. an altogether more innocent time.
With my Birthday rapidly approaching, which I find harder every year, I am mindful, that I am nearly 46 years old; not something I am happy about, it has to be said. Living on ones own, as I do at the moment, gives me a lot of time to think, as I have done today. My own mortality, has been top of that list, of thoughts to process. I suppose I am really a homebody; always feeling secure in my own surroundings. Coming to terms with ones age, is something best achieved on ones own!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Dinner this evening, Spicy Sausage Pasta. Actually it came straight from the freezer; no cooking for me, one I made earlier. Topped off with some cheese and refreshed with fresh basil, albahaca, as they say in Spain. Now this was one meal, that was cheap to make, costing only 89c. Obviously not the best food in the World, but tasted fine and filled a hole!

After a few afternoon drinks, in the company of Aunty Pam and Paul Bayley, at Zest, I popped down to Carabassi with Paul and Sammi. Haven't been down there in a while, so it was nice to see a few familiar faces.
We had dinner at the now famous, Mayka's kitchen; great value for money home cooked food. I had the Russian Salad, followed by Moroccan Chicken; two courses and a drink, for the three of us, only 44 euros, an absolute bargain. The food was fabulous as ever, thanks Mayka!
After a few too many drinks in Shooters, Sammi and Paul singing a duet, during karaoke, I left for home thanks to Andy, who met us down there. At least I didn't have to walk up Heart Attack Hill, something I always dread when spending the evening at Carabassi.
Had a fantastic evening with great friends and not even a hangover in sight, can't be bad!
