Another interesting Oxfam review, on the website, 'Glassdoor;' this time from an ex colleague in Yorkshire. Once again, a very similar story to mine, further proving a pattern exists, between Oxfam and the bullying of staff. More and more revelations will surface as times goes on, I am sure. If you are an employee, ex or otherwise, I would urge you to write your review on 'Glassdoor'. The World needs to wake up!
Blogging today, in absolute agony. I have had severe tooth pain for a few days, eventually biting the bullet and going to see Claudia at 'Dentimar Clinica Dental,' in Gran Alacant. I will say now, I hate going to the dentist; I haven't been in about six years, so for me to set foot in a surgery, I have to be in a lot of pain.
The pain is excruciating. I can cope with most things, just not tooth discomfort; luckily Claudia gave me an appointment as quick as she could! After examining my teeth, she told me, what I already knew really; I have a large abscess, under one of my teeth. It has always been a problem tooth, having had root canal in the past and currently capped in gold.
Claudia prescribed a ten day course of antibiotics and strong painkillers, returning to the surgery, once the infection has been treated. Fingers crossed, it will work and I may not have to have my tooth removed, which will be the only option otherwise.
Claudia was fantastic, explaining in perfect English, the processes involved. Going to the Dentist for me, is always an issue, let alone now, I live in Spain, so to find a good Dentist, putting one at ease is a bonus!
A quick trip up to the Pharmacy to pick up the medication and I was sorted. Let me also say, I was in and out of the Pharmacy within five minutes. In the UK, I would be queuing for a prescription, for up to an hour. Britain has a lot to learn from the Spanish Health Service.
Here's hoping the pain subsides soon; I'm climbing the walls!
Despite our old car sitting idle, most of the time, Darrell was away, she started first time; out for a drive to Lidl, in the GA Centre, before Katie's Birthday!
You can tell Darrell is back, instead of my usual 20€ spend, we were presented with an 81€ bill at the checkout. Someone still has to learn 'Spanish Ways!'
Darrell is back from the UK, arriving in Spain on Wednesday evening. After a few drinks at Zest, it's time to settle back into Spanish life again.
Darrell has enjoyed seeing some old faces, whilst staying in Britain, spending quality time, with friends; SJ, Myra, Jean and our gay daughter Nathan, to name but a few. I will post pictures from his stay in Southampton soon. Darrell wanted to thank everyone for their support, at what was a challenging period, especially Dale, who he stayed with.
I myself, will try and visit everyone back home, when time allows; until then, you have my best wishes and love. Darrell is happy to be back, hoping to avoid returning, for the foreseeable future. Neither of us know, what the future holds, so never say never, as they say!
