Yesterday I received a letter from The Department for International Development, (DFID,) which I thought would be of interest to my readers. I know many people who have worked for Oxfam read this blog; it is important for them to understand there is a helpline at (DFID), they can contact to whistleblow on any person, who is a part of the bullying culture, so endemic within the structure of this charity.

I have contacted all the organisations I need to, in order to put forward my case. I have used every avenue open to me, in order to report those responsible for my predicament three years ago. I am beginning to receive the responses I need, in order to progress with my own agenda.

Oxfam have been exposed for some truly dreadful occurrences and it is up to all of us, who suffered whilst working for them to finally stand up and be counted. Tell your story, make your voice heard and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.

    Saturday!

Another walk this morning, from the Farmacia back home. Blood pressure recorded once again. This time it was higher than usual, which is of course a little concerning. Still I felt fit and healthy after my brisk stroll home. Tomorrow is another day as they say!
I've got a little bit of writing to catch up on this afternoon; a couple of articles to finish and I am nearing the end of the third chapter of my book. I am however avoiding writing at the same pace I was, until recently. I have been feeling rather dizzy lately; slightly off kilter. I am not sure whether I am looking at a computer screen too long and may need new glasses or it has something to do, with the tests I had done this week. When I get my results on Wednesday I will know more.... Happy Saturday Y'all!

    Full Service!

    Image description
I've just got back from my morning walk, from the Farmacia at the top of the hill down to Puerto Marino. I have to get my blood pressure checked each day, as part of my 'MOT,' at Salvum clinic. For the last few days my readings have been perfect, better than ever actually, which is a complete surprise for me.

Of course there are reasons why my BP is looking good at the moment; I haven't smoked in a while and am eating much healthier for a change. I also haven't touched an alcoholic drink, have cut out Coca Cola and snack on nuts and fruit. At the moment I am doing all the right things, lets hope I keep it up.

Yesterday at the clinic, I had a number of tests done. They took blood and urine , which was easier said that done. I have never liked blood tests and nearly fainted to be honest. The clinician had to use both arms in the end to get the blood she needed. Next I had an ECG and finally a chest XRAY; on Wednesday I will collect the results.

I suppose as I have got older, I have started to think about my health a little more. I was reading about a guy, a year younger than me, who had a heart attack and changed his whole outlook. I am 47 years old at a dangerous age and really do need to do more, to look after myself, something I haven't done in many years. I have had so much stress in recent years, that it is bound to take its toll. With Oxfam firmly back in my life, I am mindful that my health could once again, take a battering if I am not careful.

So its time to makes changes and squeeze some extra years out of what I have left; not that I am going to drop down dead tomorrow of course, but if I don't make changes, I may well do. We all need to take responsibility for our own actions. If we have lead a rather hedonistic lifestyle in the past, then we do need to start making adjustments for the future, in order to enjoy a happy, fulfilling and healthy middle age!
