Had a phone conversation with Darrell today. He seems to be ok, though frustrated with the Australian authorities; who appear to be dragging their feet. Same sex relationships, don't exist down under!
He has applied for lots of jobs and looks forward to a positive outcome soon!

Darrell phoned yesterday, well he actually video phoned to see the cats, who were less interested than he was interested. They gave the odd meow or two, which seemed to make him happy.
It's winter in Australia at the moment, and I don't think Darrell is enjoying it particularly. It does tend to get quite cold in Perth at this time of year, especially at nights. They do have desert temperatures after all.
Darrell is still dealing with the legalities in Australia at the moment, having not lived there for 20 years. In time, he will gradually find his feet, I'm sure!

Here are a few photographs from Perth. Darrell has been there a few days now, and has caught up with family and friends. He has been filling in all the necessary forms and applying for jobs. He seems happy enough, although we are both missing each other.
Perth does seem to have changed quite a lot, since the last time I was there. It certainly looks bigger and busier. It didn't like the place when I was there, initially. At my time of life, eventually, I would be quite happy to settle there. At the moment, home for me is here, and I intend to become a part of Spanish life, in every respect. I am loving living in Gran Alacant and this will be home for the foreseeable future.
