Kidney Surprise!

It was 'Kidney Surprise' for dinner this evening; well it was for me anyway. Darrell, decided to have some lasagne, that I had frozen, from a few days ago. Can't blame him really,  nobody, apart from me, seems to like offal, which is fine, that's more for me. When you can buy a whole meals worth of kidney, for 1,39€, you can't go wrong in my opinion.

This was a meal, that cost under 5,00€ to make and would feed six people.  I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you are shopping, to a minimum budget, you can't beat the value for money, offal offers. As long as it is cooked correctly, it is tastier than any meat you can buy. I guess as someone once told me, I have a rather 'grown up' pallet. I'll eat most things to be fair and will try everything, at least once. The biggest bonus for me, living  in Spain, is learning how to get back to basics; cooking frugally; something, I am enjoying doing!
