El Clot de Galvany!

We made a quick trip to Gran Alacant's nature reserve, El Clot de Galvany today.  We are both going to start walking and this place is ideal for a few hours stroll.

When we arrived, the normal entrance to the park was cut off. After all the rain we have had, over the last few weeks, the area was flooded and we couldn't get in.  We did manage however, to walk around the periphery, entering the park from Carabassi, which was not flooded.

We were only there for about twenty minutes, when we were attacked by loads of mosquito's.  Due to the amount of water about, there were mossies everywhere. Although I don't get bitten, because of the amount of Bovril I drink, Darrell was totally covered in them, so we left.  Once the flood water has subsided, it will be safe to return to the Clot, until then, we will be walking to the G A Centre only!
