Another busy night at LoungeD yesterday, with lots of familiar faces popping in for a drink or two. I have met many new people since working in Masa Squares newest bar; it feels wonderful to be a part of this welcoming community, on Calle Holanda. Chloe GrayIt was a final farewell, from myself and all of us at LoungeD, to Chloe, (Second from left) who is leaving her home in Gran Alacant, after a summer season of work here in Spain. She is traveling to Gran Canaria to begin working as part of her University course in the UK. I have personally known Chloe, since moving to GA, nearly two years ago. She is a great friend and I will be sad to see her go. I know I speak for all of us, when I wish her all the luck in the World, for her new endeavours; I can't wait to see her next year, when she once again returns to Gran Alacant! Nia StokesAs well as saying goodbye to Chloe, we also gave a warm welcome to Paul Stokes daughter Nia, who arrived with her partner Caylee from Canada. It was fantastic to see Nia again; I know Paul and Michele were thrilled to bits! Paul and Michele had arranged a surprise visit from two of Nia's friends, who were sat quietly hiding at LoungeD on her arrival. There were lots of emotions as one would expect. I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all of you, during your stay in Gran Alacant. We will see you very soon! Richard & Pat clayResident artist Richard Clay and wife Pat also joined us last night, for another evening of chat and laughter. These two are great characters and always a pleasure to talk with. Richard appeared in this months GA Advertiser, together with an article about a painting, he composed and gifted to local bar 'Dick Turpin' in Sierra Mar. The painting depicts legendary highwayman Dick Turpin on his horse Black Bess. Richard has always enjoyed paining, which helps him to relax and unwind. I was lucky enough to be invited to his home recently, where I also had the privilege of seeing some of his work. Richard has a wonderful talent, always happy to speak about his interest, always a joy to see at LoungeD! Familiar Faces
