Very British Problems!
Casa Caprice
I was up once again, bright and early this morning. I'm actually getting used to early starts, especially when the sun is shining and the weather is fantastic.
I am sure I suffer with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), which I have had a lot of lately, with the weather being so bad in Spain. I can't really complain, as it was a lot worse in Britain, thankfully now, a distant memory!
It's not just me, who has been suffering at the hands of the appalling Spanish weather. It seems the UK, has also had it's own problems, brought about by the extreme climate conditions, that has been a feature of the Spanish scene, for the last few months.
Supermarkets have began to ration, good old fashioned middle class staples; iceberg lettuce and broccoli. In some places, people had been panic buying these items, as well as citrus fruit and many other perishables exported from Spain.
It did make me laugh when I heard this story on television this morning; it is just so typically British and sums up everything I hate about the place. In Spain people suffer from the harsh realities of life, lack of money and high unemployment, to name but two, yet 'the end of the world is nigh', when the British run out of unseasonal vegetables for their dinner table. I wish that is all I had to worry about, but then those back home, are great at moaning, especially about the trivialities of life. On top of the corgette shortage a few weeks ago, Brexit and what colour skirt Theresa May is wearing today, Britain is surely suffering, while the rest of the world plays. Come on you Brits, sort it out; You have nothing to moan about! sometimes I wonder how we ever won the war!
