Photographs of Hope - Tasha Illidge!
Inspirational photographs at a time of crisis, creating positivity for the future!
I choose this photo taken from a walk I went on with my partner George (we are isolating together). We walked up a massive hill and all we saw was beautiful greenery and the vast ocean.
I am choosing this as I believe it represents a lot about the current state of the world with a positive message behind it. Everybody has a hill to climb, may it be this virus, the death of a loved one, a mental health issue or some other spiritual, mental or physical challenge. As we deal with this challenge just as we are climbing the hill, we are questioning why we even embarked on this journey in the first place, what’s the point? But when you get to the top and you see all this beauty you realise that with each mountain you climb you learn a little bit more about yourself and how well you adapt and overcome tragedies, you learn to go back to appreciating the simple things in life which are the blossoming of the flowers and the sound of the waves.
More importantly you learn how we do not control nature, we are in fact a part of it, and we can learn so much from nature and how it deals with change. We are only small in this world, but we are strong and important, and we were born to adapt as the only thing that is certain is change. Keep things simple to find your happiness and give you encouragement to climb your mountains xx
