During my travels over many years, I have visited many places torn apart by conflicts and war. I have never ceased to be inspired by how countries and people recover from the ravages of pain, loss and suffering.
My time in Bosnia has shown me resilience of a country subjected to a war that should have never happened in my lifetime. Today Bosnia remains an inspirational, reflective place and is testament to the strength of humanity.
Last year I also visited South Korea and later in the year, Belfast. One being a country divided by conflict the other a divided city, poles apart geographically, with a shared struggle.
Distance has the same message, hope and a simple word can say it all. Hope is looking to the future but its foundation is built on human struggles. Let these current times, be something we can learn from!
