Painting!
Had a busy afternoon painting the new bar today. Not long now before the place opens and it's looking great. Usually I would have loads of photographs on here already, but I want this one to be a surprise, so will keep you guessing until opening day!
It's been a long road getting here and I'm happy it's nearly time to open. Spain can be a hard place at times, in many respects; Gran Alacant is no different to anywhere else in Spain. Importantly though we both have a great support network around us now and that is helping us to continue pushing forwards.
No firm opening date as yet, but will let everyone know, as soon as I know. It looks like it might coincide, with our second visitor of the season, ex employee and dear friend, from back home in Wiltshire, where Darrell and I had our first business, Gemma Wooldridge. Can't wait to see a friendly face.
In other news, Marmite and Bovril are at a bargain price in Consum, at the GA Centre. I normally pay 3,80€ for a small jar of Marmite, a lot of cents I know; it really isn't cheap over here, so this is a bargain. If you like the stuff, get stocked up, it wont stay this cheap for long!
