My first column in The Gran Alacant Advertiser, entitled 'Chatter', is out today.  The column is going to predominantly deal with the issues that are important to our local community in Gran Alacant.  What matters to those that live and work here and just what are people talking about?  Hot topics that remain important to all of us living in this beautiful area, on the Costa Blanca in Spain!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lou and Ged and the Gran Alacant Advertiser, for the chance to write a monthly column with them.  I have to say it looks great and am pleased about the way it has turned out!

So this is column number one under my belt.  Personally I think it's good, but then I am going to be biased. The column covers talk in the squares around GA, in the immediate aftermath of the Brexit vote.  Very interesting times in Spain and fantastic to write about.  As I am sure you are aware, there were many different views on the rights and wrongs of the vote.  I chose to be as impartial as possible, whilst making my own view clear.

I am already working on column number two and have many topics for discussion in mind.  

Feeling part of a local community is important, at least it is for me now. In the past I had very little regard for the area I lived in, but in Gran Alacant, I feel very different.  Gran Alacant is home and I intend to play a major role here.  That is important for me at least!
