The Chance To Remain!
I have had one of those days today. The weather is still bad, shopping in the supermarket and arguments with uneducated people, on the internet about this ridiculous article above. Some hair brained scheme, to allow the British public the choice, of whether to remain European or not. Have I actually missed something here? The democratic vote, carried out in June!
Britain went to the polls, in a referendum and chose to leave Europe! That is a fact, that can not be overturned, tampered with or changed to suit an elite in Brussels. My home country is currently drawing up plans before invoking Article 50 in March; the trigger to start negotiations for withdrawal! The United Kindom, will leave this dreadful travesty of an organisation, within an assumed eighteen month period, yet people are still trying to overturn this vote. I just don't get it and to be honest it makes me bloody angry. Why carry out a referendum, costing millions, only then to say to the Great British public, you can pick and choose what you want to do; If you have the cash, you can pay for associate membership; madness! That is Fascism, a joke, nonsense and stupid.
I am extremely open about the way I voted. Since moving to Spain, I have been witness to just how corrupt The EU is. Countries pick and choose the laws they want to follow. There are extreme hardships here, caused by the obsessive amount of red tape and bureaucracy involved in remaining in a club, that should be disbanded. Over paid officials, quotas and dictatorship from civil servants, all causing pain across this vast continent; Britain, now has a chance to do great things, worldwide and forge its own way. Even with opportunities abound, some Eurocrats still want to stop us going our own way. Why? Well we are the second biggest contributor; the Union is unlikely to survive without us; other countries have similar votes on the horizon and these faceless people do not want to lose their perks, benefits and massive, bloated salaries. While people die in the streets, through hunger and war, the EU, continues to waste on a truly huge scale. This has to stop!
So today I have been called, white middle class, a fascist a baby boomer and many other pathetic names, from a group of people who really have no education and probably didn't even get off their butts and vote in the first place. I am hardly middle class; not sure if you can be a gay fascist, but I am not and as for being a baby boomer, I was born in 1971, not, just after the war, though haven't warn well, it has to be said. The thing is, my generation did get out and put their cross on the ballot paper. Those now complaining, the younger generation, didn't come out in sufficient numbers to influence the outcome; that is their fault. Complain all you like, the vote went against you, you can't have the best of both worlds. Life will get better outside of the European experiment. You will find far more opportunities, away from the dictats of a bunch of officials, pen pushing in the European Parliament, Stop your whinging and move on!
The majority of the World, are not in The European Union. They function quite well, without its constraints, as Britain will do too! A bright future is ahead, get on with living it!
