Visitors

The first visitors of the season have arrived at Casa Gay Caprice.  Jamie's friends, Henry and Saffy flew in from London on Friday.  We always said, you will find out who your real friends are, when you move to Spain.  The ones that visit are the keepers!

Brothers

I spent Friday evening at Brothers in Carabassi, whilst everyone at home got some sleep.  It was actually a gorgeous night, as the temperature starts to heat up here in Spain.  Had a great evening, enjoying the sun and having a few drinks!

Beach

Today, Saturday has been a hot day.  Very hot.  In fact I am browner than I normally am, burnt in several places and just a little bit sore.  Today was my first day off in a few weeks, so I made the most of it and went with the others to the beach. To be honest I have never been a beach person.  I certainly do not swim, because I can't, but over here I am enjoying it, as part of my new lifestyle!

Carabassi

Darrell and myself have just got back from Carabassi, where we have just had dinner.  We left Henry and Saffy with Jamie for the night.  I have to get up early for work tomorrow, so early to bed for me!

Oxfam

An interesting, acurate review on Oxfam, I found on Glass Door! I am still in the process of dealing with that awful charity I used to work for.  I am in this for the long haul as they say and their stubborn ignorance is the biggest reason to actually be doing something about them.

I have had to block people who have been trying to cause harm still.  Their pathetic games, continue to motivate me further to do all I can to have those responsible removed, which I am assured, will happen one day.  Of course I believe  that is all talk, to try and stop me doing anything.  At present I will continue to make my views public and known to those, who need to know. They have no reputation left in my book, so those that seek to preserve it, are just delaying the inevitable!

Lee Ralph

Had a nice chat with our Lee, my other gay daughter over the last few days.  I had a few to drink and gave her a ring. Our Lee always fills me in with all the latest gossip from back home in Southampton.

Not all news is always good!  Without saying a word, I just wanted to wish Lee well, she knows what I am talking about. It's good to hear her voice and great to hear that everyone are mostly doing well. Couldn't care less about most in Southampton.  The ones that matter are all A OK!

Vegemite

After four months, living in Spain, Darrell has managed to finally get hold of Vegemite.  Darrell spoke to the people at The British Supermarket, who actually ordered it in for him.  It isn't cheap out here however, 4.60€ for 220g.  That's over double, what it would be in The UK!

Spain

Life for us in Spain is still going well.  I have jumped through all the hoops I have to, and am now  a Spanish Resident.  I am paying into the system, for my pension, social security and health care. Spain is a much happier place for myself and Darrell and that is the one thing that will get us through testing times!

Last Year

A few photographs, taken last year, in Southampton.  Always good to look back at past events and the people in my life. Mostly my time on the South Coast was happy, not always I grant you, but in the main, I had the best time of my life.  With many of those, we knew, visiting us this summer, our old home, really isn't that far away!

Jamie & Natalee

Natalee has started a new job here in Spain, having just signed a new contract, starting last week.  After a shaky start she is finally shining through!

Jamie is equally doing well.  Not only does Jamie work with me, but he also has a second job and works a lot of hours.  Jamie has always been a grafter and is no different here.  He looks better, eats well, is no longer pale and actually has a smile on his face, always!
