Shopping Day!
Friday is shopping day! Katie and myself popped into Zest on the way to the G A Centre, for a cup of tea and a bit of morning TV before hitting Lidl.
There were two 'Red' days this week, or Bank Holidays, so the shops were packed, as they always are, after a mini shut down. What is it with people, not being able to survive for more than a day, without the shops? As for me, I literally only go once a week and that's it. Anyway, I hadn't been to Lidl in a while, so it made a pleasant change. The Christmas stuff was out, which was rather annoying, since I am not in the mood for a celebration this year, but it is certainly easier shopping in Spain during the festive season!
Shopping on a budget is actually becoming a bit of an art form for me. Funny enough, the less I spend each week, the happier I am. Now that is a complete change to how it used to be. This week I spent, the princely sum of, 57€. We obviously don't live like Queens, but as I said to Jamie the other day, you certainly don't go without.
I picked up what I now know is a Broccoliflower. I had never seen one before and wanted to give it a try. Apparently it doesn't have as stronger taste as Broccoli, has a slightly crunchier texture and a nutty flavour. Always willing to try new things, so will give it a go tomorrow.

After a quick run into Dialprix for my obligatory Bovril and gravy granules, oh and those British tea cakes they sell plus a packet of ginger nuts, it was back home for another cup of tea with Katie. Two cups in one day, two more than usual....I'm still climbing the walls!
It's still damp and wet outside, but I have managed to get some clothes dry, so all being well, I will finally be able to get the rest of the washing done tomorrow. Until then I am tidying, rearranging and cleaning my casa.
