Today is the day, The Labour Party died.  The leader of HM Opposition, has been ineffective from day one.  The British Parliamentary system, demands an effective opposition, to hold the Government to account.  Corbyn has done nothing to stand up for those he pretends to represent.  He is a self serving narcissist, who's only interest, is  his own supposed popularity, among the members of his party.  He has been put on a ballot paper, without a single nomination.  The MP's he leads at Westminster, voted overwhelmingly in a vote of no confidence, in his leadership.  He is a dinosaur from another time, unelectable and unable to see the damage he is doing.

His supporters have perpetrated unjustifiable threats and violent acts against Angela Eagle, who is also standing for party leader.  She continues to suffer abuse at the hands of a mob, who claim to support Mr Corbyn.  This is happening in my home country, who's political system of continuity and strong Government, I so admired, falls apart on a daily basis.

I am no socialist.  The mob mentality of Corbyn's supporters reinforce my view, that Labour has lost the plot.  They will be wiped out at any subsequent General Election and rightly so.  Andrea Leadsom, bowed out of the Conservative Party Leadership challenge, with grace and dignity, to preserve the unity of her party.  That is the right thing to do.  Corbyn has and will continue to destroy the very party, he seeks to lead. His party will now split, causing long lasting damage, that will never be recovered.  It is indeed a sad day for British politics, as one man, on a mission of destruction, continues to run rough shod through his party's constitution.

Westminster is a laughing stock.  Looking in, from Spain, people just can't believe the sorry state of a once great nation.  Our reputation is in tatters and it is now down to our new Prime Minister, to take a firm hand in the negotiations, for Brexit.  She is the only one who can now navigate a beached Britain, back out to sea and the new future that now beckons!
