Gay Mothers Day!
6 March 2016
I taught Jamie how to cook scrambled eggs today. It´s Mothers Day in Britain, so in our case, Gay Mothers Day here in Spain. Jamie had his usual reaction, saying he didn´t like scrambled eggs, once eaten, he said he enjoyed it. This has been standard for Jamie and actually the things he thought he hated, he actually doesn´t!
He´s enjoying cooking, and actually is doing it very well. It is something everyone should know how to do!

Scrambled Eggs
I´m starting to enjoy Sunday´s again, really enjoy them, rather than recovering from a heavy night, as was the case in The UK!
We were going to go out Saturday night, but decided to wait until Sunday, so we can catch the Sunday sun. In the UK, it was rare for me to go out at all, let alone be out every day, spending very little time at home.
The lifestyle is so different here, that I literally want to be out as much as I can, and I am. It really is a great time to be alive. It feels like I have come home!

Anyway he cooked eggs for Gay Mothers Day and didn´t do a bad job of it at all!
Solarium
It was another beautiful day here on The Costa Blanca. From The Solarium, you can see for miles and miles, as far as Benidorm. ¿Why on earth would anyone want to live in The UK, when you have this on your door step?
This is the reason we chose to move to Spain. Everyday I wake up, I still can´t believe we actually did it. I still can´t believe we actually live in such a beautiful place. This is the view from our bedroom window. It is truly glorious. We are indeed very lucky to live in such a place, and we are also fully aware of the task ahead to allow us to enjoy this for a lifetime. We will never be going back to The UK, we have no need to! Life here is good!
At this time of year in The UK, you really couldn´t be sat outside, enjoying weather like this, it just would not happen. The pains I used to get in my chest, have now gone, completely. The stress I used to suffer is no more and the depression has gone!
It´s going to be interesting to see how much this area changes during the summer months. We are told it will be totally different. At the moment, the community here is quite small and close knit. Coming here to Spain in January, has allowed us to integrate easily and get to know those who are resident all year round, like us. That was the best decision we ever made!
The Square
A day off from work on Sunday, so we thought we would head to The Square for the day. The sun was out, it was a bit windy, but it was one of those days, when we just wanted to sit in the sun and enjoy the day.
We were welcomed by Pam at Zest, as we always are. She is one of the loveliest people we have met here. She has lived here for about four years and is one of the most positive ambassadors for life here in Spain. Like everyone, she says with complete certainty, she will never return to The UK. I know now, the reasons why!
Dinner
We popped into the local steak house, while we were in The Square. I was kind of celebrating. This Sunday, really felt like the beginning of a new life and I love the ´New Beginnings´ feeling. To be honest, everyday here feels wonderful, but meeting new residents in The Square, forming friendships and bonds, always makes for more positive vibes. We are all oozing positivity at the moment and it shows!
