On Saturday we had a BBQ at my Aunts house. Despite the overcast, cloudy skies, it was still warm and in true British style we enjoyed the day. It was fantastic to see Julie, a member of the family  I  have never met before; we chatted about our relations in Liverpool, where my Fathers side of the family come from and life living down south. I haven't actually seen any of my Liverpudlian family since the early 2000s; it was great talking with Julie, as it has been with everyone since returning to the UK.

It was a wonderful day, one I thoroughly enjoyed. Getting to meet different people is always a good thing; everyone was so open, accepting  and approachable, which always helps. This is the first time I have felt comfortable around a group of people in many months. I suppose I have just realised what is important in life, sadly it isn't something Spain was offering before I left; in time that may well change; for now I'm happy to stay put!
