Apprise!
La Piedra
I've got a busy few weeks at the moment. I am working every day and the summer season has just kicked off. We did however manage to spend a bit of time, having a few drinks after work at La Piedra. Not a place I usually go into, as it does very much cater for a younger crowd. However, Elle was going down there after work, so I joined her with
Darrell and Jamie. La Piedra, is a lively, friendly place, with great staff. They all speak perfect English and are very welcoming.
The crowd is possibly a bit young for me, god I'm showing my age, but it was an eventful night and it was nice to spend some time, having a few drinks!

Jamie
Since deactivating facebook, Jamie seems to be in a much better mood. Rather than encouragement, he was receiving a lot of negativity from back home. Personally I would have kept facebook open and just continued to prove to people, just how well he is doing, but He made a choice to shut it down. It does seem to have worked for him, however, which we are all really pleased about. Whatever works for Jamie is good.
Darrell
Darrell has gone from strength to strength recently. A large weight has been lifted from his shoulders and he has finally been able to draw a line under the last few years.
All our ties with The UK have now been severed and Darrell has finally begun to relax.
He is enjoying his new job, which looks to be going upwards in a very positive way. It has been a long time coming, but at least now, he can move forward!

Natalee
Natalee has been in Spain for about one month. She has found it difficult at times out here, but seems to have turned a corner.
When anyone moves abroad, especially at the beginning, life can feel a bit like a vacation and shaking out of that holiday outlook, into 'life' mode, can be hard.
She has a job and when the season truly kicks off, she will be able to work all the hours she needs. It can be hard in the interim, waiting for the work to start pouring in, but by the end of May, it is going to be a very different ball game!
Luke
I settled in better than anyone at Casa Caprice. I am just happy to be away from Oxfam and those terrible people that work at the charity. Spain has been an eye opener in many respects for me.
I feel settled, have a job, contract, have gone through the motions and will finally receive my Spanish Residency on Monday. That is all I wanted, to prove I can make it and finally be the person I want to be.
Happy and content!
